The AS9100 family of standards is an ISO 9001 based standard with additions and interpretations specific to the aerospace industry with emphasis placed on areas having the greatest impact on safety, reliability and regulatory compliance for aerospace products.
The latest revision to AS9100 is published as AS9100D in the US and coded as EN9100:2016 in Europe. This version is aligned to the ISO9001: 2015 and adopted risk based thinking and process approach within the new ten-clause Annex SL framework. The International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) publishes these standards.
