AIAG hosted an update webinar in end October as a platform to update members on the OEM expectations after five months of launching the new AIAG VDA FMEA manual in June 2019. Below is a summary of key points covered.
IATF members/ OEM vehicle makers direction to use the new FMEA: AIAG sought feedback from vehicles makers in US. General Motors, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, and Honda America are now ready to accept FMEA using the new approach.
Parts affecting functional Safety ISO26262: OEMs are generally making the priority to use the new FMEA for parts requiring functional safety (ISO26262) focus.
More languages for the FMEA manual: AIAG and VDA are working with plans to have the new FMEA manual published in more languages, up to 17 languages are in the works. Priority is given to those countries with high number of IATF certifications. Mandarin version for China is now available.
Readiness of Certification Body to audit against the new FMEA: Certification auditors are to undergo a ADP qualification/ training prior to being able to audit against the new FMEA. This will happen in the next six to nine months Expect your certification auditors to start auditing against the new FMEA from middle of year 2020 onwards.
Errors/ issues on the AIAG VDA FMEA Handbook: Errors/ issues feedback are being compiled. An Errata Sheet will be issued by Nov 8, 2019, to be made available to all purchasers of the AIAG FMEA handbooks
Updates to other AIAG manuals: Other FMEA related manuals and guidelines like Machine FMEA manual and CQI24 for DRBFM may be updated in future. But it all depends on user feedback and priority. Next priority seems to be related to control plan.

I have new handbook in english language ( jul. 2019 ) and I bought in dec.2019 translation in czech language. In czech language is in table for severity evaluation PFMEA for level 8 only first sentence “100% of production run….” second sentence is missing “Failure may result in … ” My question is – is it update?? or mistake of translation in czech language??

We only use the English version. The table for Severity rating seems fine in the English version.
It is not uncommon for translated version to have some printing errors or translation inaccuracy. Suggest you use the English version as primary reference as in any publication, the default language of origin publication will be the reference whenever any dispute arises out of translation issues. Alternatively, you may write to the publisher to feedback on the Czech version.
