Certification To ISO Schemes Allowed to Defer Due to Covid-19

As everyone stays at home for respective countries’ lockdown, be it Movement Control Order in Malaysia or Circuit Breaker in Singapore, some of us may find ourselves working from home. The longer the lock down period stretches, the more worries we have over impending deadlines. One of them is next certification audit dates for our respective companies.

For companies which voluntarily subscribe to certification for ISO schemes, such as ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001, the International Accreditation Forum(IAF) has issued a formal policy allowing all certification bodies to postpone the audit for up to a period of 6 months from the due date of the certification. This includes surveillance and re-certification audit. Below you may find the link to the official document published by IAF.
